The secret to starting single stage snowblowers...especially old ones is...prime 5 times, full choke, leave key off, pull once. Turn key on, one sharp pull. When the engine starts, move choke to 'half choke'. As the engine warms up, gradually move the choke to "off" Starts everytime. Never had a snowbolwer that didnt run with that method.
