This is on Sprint's Samsung Moment running Android cupcake or 1.5.

I went to the Vimeo site that said that I needed to download Flash 10 to view this video. I clicked on the frame anyway, and Skyfire launched a widget which seemed to allow the video to play. What it's doing is sending the Flash video to the Skyfire servers which are transcoding the video into H.264, then sending it back to the phone.

  • It looks like you have a large amount of apps running in the background, and all the stock sprint stuff, I'm sure skyfire/flash would run way smoother on the Moment if all those apps were off and the stock sprint ones were removed... or if you were running the hacked/optimized 1.5 kernel or the hacked 2.1 one. Glad to see its running well though!

  • @Apk07 I religiously use Advance Task Killer, which I found helps tremendously.

I don't think I'll try to optimize the phone any more until Sprint releases the Android 2.1 update.

  • @billkos Make that "Advanced"

  • is this support on windows mobile 6 and above??

  • @Xxr0mEosabsianxX Sorry, I have a Windows phone.

  • I use skyfire on my windows HTC phone and you can pick anypoint in a video and press play :)

  • @R1KSU I had the HTC Hero, so I know that it has the HTC implementation of multi-touch. Maybe that's why you can do that.
