Let's not forget that the IIHF Worlds is still a B-class tournament, a Consolation Cup for the ones that dropped. Smaller countries with all their best players in the NHL playoffs are screwed :P

This game? The bronze game at the last World Championships (Finland 5-0)? The practice game two days ago (Finland 4-2)? I'd say these create some case for the argument.

Finland should have won in Torino cuz they earned it more then sweds.... but as usually Finland loses the Final (sigh)

I remember watching this tournament. It was so awesome to see how our national team pretty much crushed everyone, but then then finals came. FIN-SWE, it's like putting Donald Duck against Gladstone Gander. A big sigh..

It's not 'gey', it's gay. Swedish "civilian" are very annoying. Always blustering about their hockey, fashion or whatever they can think up :D they obviously think they are a bit better then other people. No humility at all... But swedish hockey players are not that childish and embarrasing :) they have great team and they know how to respect other hockey countries. Although Torino gold medal should have gone to us (Finland.) We had the best team and tournaments best player - Antero Niittymäki!

Samuelsson?! Forsberg couldn't handle the physical play and was always injured and his career was cut too short. Alfredsson is good but not as good as Kurri or Selänne. Sundin was good but never scored 50+ goal seasons like Selänne and Kurri. Best player ever from Sweden is Nicklas Lidström but he's a defenseman.
