i am senna fun but it's very unfair to bellof that no one notice that he was flying in that race.and for those who don't know senna uses mclarens tyres only in this race in 1984!if you ask me who maybe was better than ayrton i'll answer maybe just maybe bellof!not schumacher mansell or prost. a shame that bellof died before show to people what was capable to do.no one even know his name now!only a few!

@lefgeo bellof was a great pilot, but do not exaggerate. He has made a test with Senna and Brundle on the Mclaren-Tag, and Senna was faster than them with 0.400 ! And what people should know is that Senna was to the point to make his best time and explode the chronometer when the engine broke !

@kouzouka I'm not totally agree.In the mclaren's test their official times were very very close(rumous said that Senna blow his engine in his best lap with Ron say:it's difficult to look my watch when my engine is blowing).Brundle gave Senna a very hard time in F3 with Senna wining the title at last race.Everybody considered that Brundle could have similar carrer with Senna but he strugled in F1.For me Senna was the top but i would like to see a Senna-Bellof fight in top cars!

@lefgeo Not a top team at all I agree, but my point is if you race in the wet with less weight you will get a huge advantage thats why Bellof looked good that day as well. The only thing I know is that Senna, Brundle and Bellof all tested a McLaren at Siverstone in 83 with Senna coming out fastest. As teamates Brundle and Bellof were very close at Tyrrel but Senna Brundle never were close. That said Bellof was a really fast driver like Gilles

@kouzouka I know that Tyrell were cheating but when a team cheating doesn't mean that it is a top team.Tyrell was one of the worst teams at this time.Of course the wet monaco was the best place for Tyrell as in the dry qualifying Bellof qualified i think 18th and Senna 13th, but they finished the race 2nd and 3rd and if the race didn't stop they could easily finish at 1st and 2nd.Great achievement by the two great drivers!

@lefgeo Bellof was flying at 1984 Monaco because Tyrrel his team where cheating with removable ballast, they where disqualified that year for it..

@lefgeo Well maybe the normally aspirated engine was more drivable in those conditions. Don't wanna take anything away from Bellof though.
