Adelina Patti (1843-1919) Viene considerata una una dei più grandi soprano del 19mo secolo. Debuttò nell'opera il 24 novembre 1859 alla New York's Academy of Music
@wks1978, agreed it is totally ruined. It is a travesty to make people think our ancestors had tin ears. The transfer is so noise-suppressed that it sounds like it's coming from a sheet metal shop.
Adelina Patti at her height commanded a whopping $ 5,000.00 per performance in Fees. She owned a castle in Wales. She was adored by the criticts, composers, and the public alike.
@Nhlvrnfla basically what you're listening to is a warping of the record. As those old wax records age and are exposed to fluxuations in humidity- they start to get divots and warping that really will throw off the speed of the song, as well as cause changes in pitch and key. Some records are beyond restoration when this happens. Now so far as the volume changes- not much I can say there besides have you ever tried singing while corseted?
wonderful rendition acurate restauration she was babtized in Madrid in the sme pilatre of the same church than Fornarina-see my videos of Fornarina- thanx
this interpretation is very, very important and expressive as a demonstration of historical jewel of interpretation
