My parents grew up in Poland, under communism, and travelled frequently to Russia. They said the USSR was a paradise, now destroyed, remaining only in their fond memories. The state of eastern European countries today is an absolute disaster, in every aspect, compared to how they were prior to 1990... shrinking populations, sorely low birth rates, pitiful armies, mass migrations,

Now, what is the Soviet Union? It is a huge Socialistic block of nations without any problems on racial part. No racism, no nazism and etc. Everyone has a equal rights, everyone have an education for free (in time of USSR, it was best in the world), medicine is also for free, everyone has a job. Soviet Union is the first country who step to the Space. In some of the regions of the humanity (industrial, social, sciense) we were always been leaders. So no, we are not loosers.

Now, what is the Europe? European Union is almost same as a former Soviet Union, but it has a big troubles today. Problems with new EU countries and theyr citizens rights, they are lower than in oldest countries, problems with economies, there is a countries with market about only 10 years old... Huge problem is immigration from other new EU countries. But society much better than americans. Problems with Greece, Yugoslavia shows that, EU is not so might as it state itself.

Americans provide a huge narcotic traffic in Afghanistan to the other countries (even when Thalibians controlled Afghanistan were better situation). What is society in States? Freedom of speech, of course it is, but what about political correctness? It is an instrument of cutting of freedom of speaking. States shows itself as a democratic nation, but what is this "democracy"? Wars to the other countries? Political pressure to others? Yes - this is America. Society of egocentric peoples.

First of all, go to school, get some knowledge. What is the USA and Europe? First is the country with bloody history of greed, slavery and genocide. Americans kills american indians, got them to the reservations, enslaved blacks from Africa in 1700-1800s. Americans used nuclear weapon against civilians in Japan, instead of bombing war-oriented facilities and regions. Today America terrorized itself to start an oil war (9/11), ruined 3 countries to ashes, and have a HUGE debt to the world.

хотя я и не успел родится в СССР, но мне очень жаль что эта странна распалась, ведь в ней не было морального уродства которое сейчас в нынешней России: кругом гопота, алкаши, бомжи, наркоманы и прочее, молодые вместо спорта и науки предпочитают выпивку и сигареты.... ну вы меня наверное поняли, а также теперь нет той мощи благодаря которой все созидалось, придумывалось, создавалось... жаль жаль....

The Soviet Union was not perfect just like the capitalist west in reality, but its ideals were. Capitalism is based on greed and exploitation. Capitalism never solves its problems, it moves it geographically with wars and economic exploitation and hypnotizes everyone to become bourgeois and consume. It creates a world after its own image. USSR was not even truly communist, it said it aspired to be one. USSR was state capitalism with socialist principles.
