Raw Video: First Video From Moon's Far Side

A spacecraft orbiting the moon has captured the first video of the lunar far side that people on Earth can't see. The video was captured by one of NASA's twin Grail probes using MoonKAM, a camera which will eventually be used by students. (Feb. 1)

I think most people are just mad they didnt get to see it during their lifetime, I know I want to see it and im only 30, but my hopes to see it are low...

@boolshmool Lol, are you trolling? Clearly you watched that movie, whatever it was called. If you are not, then no, the reason we have yet to go back is because it is prohibitively expensive. Your question might be then, "why did we go in the first place?". Well that is simple. We were in a competition with the Soviet's in virtually everything. With new rocket technology, it was inevitable that we would have a "Space Race" on our hands. Now that the Soviets are gone, Space isn't as important.

@boolshmool What? It's not that we can't "scrounge up 150 billion", it's that it wouldn't be profitable. Are you really about to tell me the moon landing was a hoax? If you are, just for your information, I know three of the astronauts who went to the Moon, and dozens of engineers and technicians at NASA who helped put them there. Don't for a second make claims that you cannot back up. So no, $150 billion will not be allocated to a program that won't bring a return on investment.
