  • sounds like somebody is shitting

  • Interesting ..this has been in use in India atleast 5000 yrs ago - so people were culturally tied across the continents ?

  • a great place, with the great people,a great music and abundance of history..conch sound like terrifying.good work for the researchers and historians!

  • Very intellectual man.

  • Ancient rituals are interesting even if we don't knot what it is for. It is very mysterious.

  • Terrific production. How advanced our predecessors were thousands of years ago!

Certainly wonderful that Stanford can sponsor lasting studies like this. Reminds me of when Hitler knew he was defeated: after bombing Coventry, he expected the British to give up. However, the next issue of the London Times read, "Robins seem to have arrived a bit earlier this year." It's the marginal things-----

  • Conche sounds are still used in East Indian weddings, prayers and other rituals. different conches are used for different purposes. it amazes me that most advanced civilizations arrived at similar conclusions about life and spirit. the current western world has a lot to catch up on.

  • I think, in India these uses are described in our mythological epics, which are yet to be properly dated scientifically.

  • Sorry but I gotta say it... Vuvuzelas: they've been around longer than you thought!

  • interesting stuff
