Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 34 Flight Engineer Chris Hadfield of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) speaks with Canadian-born actor William Shatner, the original Captain Kirk on the "Star Trek" television series, as well as Twitter followers attending a tweetup at CSA Headquarters in St. Hubert, Quebec during an in-flight event Feb. 7. Hadfield had previously exchanged tweets with Shatner after arriving on the orbital laboratory in late December. Hadfield will become the first Canadian commander of the complex in mid-March and is scheduled to return to Earth in mid-May on a Russian Soyuz spacecraft.

Wish all nations would stop fighting amongst themselves and instead concentrate on exploring the new frontiers of space and science.

"Going to Mars is inevitable." I hope so Chris, I also hope it happens in my lifetime.

I tried to use the youtube captions to translate the part i didnt understand and boy was that fun. I dont think the translations were correct as it said they spoke of monkeys, weed pollen, four-pound rationing noodle, sailboats, prom, cuba, and Australians. I could be wrong and this could have been the most interesting conversation on the ISS.

here here. It's a shame about the recession stopping what could have happened in pioneering space.

Does anyone else think that Nikon is paying Chris to float that camera around during the video?

I wouldn't hold my breath. The US is dragging it's feet with space travel as it's not as interesting for its citizens anymore. Our only hope is ESA right now, maybe China because they make up for lack of money and technology with suicidal determination.
