  • Thank you! I was able to fix my dryer with your help =)

  • @straightdope Your welcome :) glad the training video helped.

  • I want to add my thanks to the many others here. I tried the breaker test first: no dice. A borrowed multimeter, $67.75 to Sears' parts department, and less than an hour's labor = a replaced heating coil. Couldn't have done it without these instructions.

  • @jppomera Excellent, it is a common problem and a fairly easy fix once you see it done! Glad the video helped. Kevin

  • Hey, thanks for taking the time to make this very concise, helpful video. Thankfully the breaker test did it for me so I'm spared the task (and cost) of replacing the element. We're expecting our second baby sometime this week so as you can imagine timing is great to have the dryer working again. it will sure be used a lot in the coming little while.

Also glad that kids don't have a lot of interest the subject, so we're all spared the childish comments that unfortunately plague youtube.

  • @Slakass55 Glad the video was of help and thanks for the positive comment. All the best, Kevin

  • Thank you very much for this video. I thought our heating element was bad. Annoyed at the entire situation, I watched the video and tried the breaker test. It worked!!!!! I never would have thought to try that and would have wasted money on an element or even a new dryer. Thanks so much!! Such and easy thing. Much appreciated.

  • @daleyburd Hi Daleyburd, I just contacted my supplier and told them the model number. Then the supplier told me it was in stock, I then picked it up. I did not have a specific model or serial number for the part. Kevin
