If you drop your cell phone or digital camera in a puddle, ocean or toilet, it doesnt mean its a complete goner. Some common household products may help you save it.
In this Two Minute Miracles video, Agents Anthony Santia and Adam Johnson will show you how a pot, uncooked rice and a moisture-absorbing pack found in Beef Jerky can help rescue your gadgets when they get wet.

The battery and memory card should absolutely go in the container too! And the amount of Silica Gel in a packet that comes from beef jerky isn't nearly enough to get all the moisture out of a phone or camera.

Batteries do not break because they get wet, pat the battery dry with any cloth or paper towel or whatever... Let it sit for at least 1 day, and it should be fine.
However. Almost all cell phones immediately lose the warranty if it gets wet, there's a small, white, water-detecting sticker on the battery that turns to purple/pink/blue.
