If you drop your cell phone or digital camera in a puddle, ocean or toilet, it doesnt mean its a complete goner. Some common household products may help you save it.

In this Two Minute Miracles video, Agents Anthony Santia and Adam Johnson will show you how a pot, uncooked rice and a moisture-absorbing pack found in Beef Jerky can help rescue your gadgets when they get wet.

  • This geeks want to mess around saying "sorry you lost your phone" !! " want to buy a new one?" Don't leave your phone with them because they sell them

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! I almost lost my camera, i used the ice for 3 days... ill ty silica gel now :) THANK YOU!

  • i dropped my lg env 3 in da toilet bowl. after the first thing i did is turn it on the flash kept going and called my mom. then i turned it off took off the covers dried it with cloth and tried it again, then turned off airdried it and put it in rice ... u think its still gonna work? it was in the water for about 2-3 seconds.

  • The battery and memory card should absolutely go in the container too! And the amount of Silica Gel in a packet that comes from beef jerky isn't nearly enough to get all the moisture out of a phone or camera.

  • Batteries do not break because they get wet, pat the battery dry with any cloth or paper towel or whatever... Let it sit for at least 1 day, and it should be fine.

However. Almost all cell phones immediately lose the warranty if it gets wet, there's a small, white, water-detecting sticker on the battery that turns to purple/pink/blue.

  • Now why would do that?

  • Yeah, cuz i totally carry around a box of rice :P

  • What do you do with the cell phone battery eh?

  • it says removeall batteries and memory cards

  • what about the cell phone battery, put that in rice too or what?
