  • Nice

  • I find this poem absolutely disgusting, orientalist and offensive. The writer clearly knows nothing of the Vietnamese, and has derived everything she thinks she knows from her own Othering. Unless this poem is on the curriculum in order to show how a Western writer can utterly misrepresent millions of people, it should be removed from the syllabus immediately.

  • I'm sorry was this video meant to tell me what the poem is about.

or was it just a poem but on a video clip.

  • @tom9987 Well I'm guessing he means the one of the girl running away from the burning village while the american troops are pooring water on her. It's the iconic picture of the vietnam war. This really helped me thanksxx

  • My teacher showed me this lmao.

  • ok so what happend happend what do u want now from america?

  • @scullyx100 *English. :)

  • A very unusual poem, I must admit - It's not everyday you see poems written in the format of questions and answers :P

  • Thanks i needed to do this as homework and i think thias ones the best i looked at :)

  • Ive seen about a billiant of these poems into powerpoint youtube things, and i have to say, this is definatly the best. GCSE later AGH

    Thanks :)
