  • Latin has come to have two meanings, Latin in the traditional sense (countries like Spain, Portugal, Italy etc which have strong heritage from the Roman empire) and Latin (Latino/Latina) as a term to describe people of Spanish origins living in America.

She was born in Spain and is therefore Spanish but she could be described as Latin European.

  • Latin is European. Latin-American is Latins who moved to America. Latin thus cover Europe and South America.

FYI, Americans are Europeans. British who moved to America.

Want to know who are true Americans? The chiefs and injuns.

  • why are you telling me? Only uneducated idiots would say otherwise! Spaniards are Europeans what else can they be? Spain is one of the largest countries in Europe with one of the oldest histories and richest cultures in the old land. Its climate is NOT Mediterranean; it has also Atlantic, and Continental climates and it is these climates and genetics that say who those Europeans are - not a bunch of simpletons following the stereotyping tradition.

  • @Treefingrs You are highly mistaken about Latino. Latin America got it's name from Southern Europeans because they are the Latins. Latin America was named by the French in order to invite themselves into the colonization of the New World, because the 2 other countries of Spain and Portugal were Latins, so it was a good excuse. Latin Americans are only called Latino because of Southern Europeans, not Native Americans. So yes, all of France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Romania are European Latinos.

  • @chocolatbuny She may have some Moorish ancestry as 11% of Spain has it, but 89% of Spaniards do not. She may have some gypsy blood, because gypsies are a minority in Spain. But most Spaniards are not mixed with Moor or gypsy. Most Spaniards are White Europeans.

  • @YoSoyZuri The Muslims were kicked out of Spain years ago in "La Reconquista" or "The Reconquest". Google it. The Spaniards are not mixed with Moor on a large scale. A recent DNA study on the Spain showed only 11% of Spain has Moorish ancestry, 89% does not. The Moors were expelled from Spain along with the Jews and half breeds centuries ago. Most Spaniards are White European.. The sunny climate of Spain contributed to a Mediterranean look, not race mixing.

  • @chocolatbuny You are ignorant about what happened in Spain. The Muslims aka the Moors were kicked out of Spain centuries ago along with the Jews and mixed breeds in an event called "La Reconquista" or the "The Reconquest". The U.S. likes to teach about the Moors in Spain, but not the expulsion of the Moors in Spain. If the Moors were expelled, then the Spanish people can't be mixed with them right? A recent DNA study shows only 11% of the country has Moorish ancestry. 89% does not.
