I built a trike for burningman 2009, added a lot of goodies to it.... I took an old schwinn frame and haked apart a granny trike, bolted it together with a few extra parts, chopped the seat and attached it to the back of trike bub rear end added (2) 6.5 3 ways speakers on top of a custom made ply board box, mounted under the box is (2) 6.5 subs powered by a 300watt amp located under the box, ground effect lighting, including running lights, cup holder, toggle to power everything to a 12v battery located inside the box.

  • all that enthusiasm, & you never bothered to power it up & let us hear it in action. unce you get rolling with it, you'll find you'll want an mp3 player. i had a bike system with a CD player that had skip protection mounted on bungee cords and even then, i'd get a skip when things got bumpy.

all bike systems are cool. how about a video with this one pumping some tunes?

I didn't even realize i didn't have one in while it was in action, ill have something posted by tonight!

  • that's pretty sweet but anyone with a screwdriver could make quick work of that

  • Looks good dude. You need a shitload of lights if you're gonna ride at night. The subs will drain that battery fast too. Hope you're bringing an RV with a gen and a battery charger. I'm running a huge marine battery and still charge it every time I get back to camp. Might want to go with an iPod or MP3.

  • This bike fukin gay why would you even put a lock on the box

  • Also my next project is a 500 w trailer, with 2 8" subs, 4 6.5" fulls, neon lights, deq, and I will also make it so I can plug in to any where, b4 I used a car charger!

  • I built a small 100w system, for les than 60$, it was on a trailer, and I found trailers are the best way to go, bc if ur into bmx you can listen to tunes, on the way to the park, then when you want to hit pipe u can detach and still listen to music. Also much more flexible in loading into a car. With the trikes there too tall to fit into backs of vans, 2 weel bikes can be tipped over

cool! thanks too for keeping the "bikes are cooler than cars" faith!

i need to get my buttocks in gear (pun intended) on both an on bike system and my 500w trailer system. it's the woodworking that's getting in the way. i've had the gear to build a trailer a year or two by now.
