This laptop was heating up over 70c removed heatsink and as you can see from video the thermal paste dissipated. The graphic chip came with a different type of thermal transfer without any fan and it gets to about 57c

  • Hey Biggonyou, i have a problem.. after putting the termal paste on the cpu ( i took precausion: charger off, battery taken off) it won't work anymore, battery is like dead in my opinion but it still gives light when it's charging.. any suggestions mate?

  • @angelzodiak batteries do go dead and charge light may still come on the light don't mean anything if battery isn't taking charge. you can try few tricks such as making certain battery is drained and try recharging (few guides on net for that). i would check take laptop apart and make certain you didn't forget to plug something in etc.. i know it sucks but sometimes you have to do things the hard way..... -in my antonio banderas (desperado) voice..

  • @biggonyou Thanks for the replay biggonyou!

I have dismantled the laptop checked everything and i got it working again!

the power board (where you press the on button) was loose and my cpu had a little too much paste..

Don't know which of these are the problems that have caused it but it's all fine now! Thanks to you my laptop doesn't overheat anymore.. it used to be like 100 celsius when i play i video.. now it's like 45+ constantly.

  • @angelzodiak Your welcome thanks for the feedback angelzodiak! it's what keep me posting.

  • @paulnam87 just that remove the bottom panel about 8 screws and the CPU is right there! it is one of the easiest to get to ( from there just remove the screws holding down the heat sink it's really simple and easy that is why i did show the video of me doing that.

  • @biggonyou how do I remove the fan and heat sink? I need to reapply thermal grease on the cpu and need to remove the heatsink.

  • @paulnam87 Not a problem! in fact this video shows just that remove the bottom panel about 8 screws and the CPU is right there! it is one of the easiest to get to

  • how did you access the cpu? I have the exact same laptop, but I dont know how to get to the cpu to replace the thermal paste. If you can make a video that would be great!
