connect an xbox or xbox360 to internet without 100$ adapter

sorry for the bad mouse scrolling and bad typing. blame my mouse and keyboard =P this vidoe shows a simple cheap way to connect an xbox or xbox 360 to the internet without the $99.99 adapter.if you wanna look me up on xbox360 live my gamertag is brandonrr. yes i do use the same pc for xbox live as i did for this video. it's about a year and 1/2 old and has a wireless connection and i almost never lag when playing my call of duty 4 or halo 3. by the way... i have the halo 3 edition xbox360. edit: the laptop computer i used for this setup took a huge dump and i ended up getting the official microsoft adaptor. It is a little easier as i don't have to turn the computer on every time i get on live but the connection isn't any faster. it is the same as it was with the laptop's internet. I actually had to move my xbox to get better signal. =\

yes, i am aware this video sucks. i made it one night in about 5 minutes after 3 different people asked me how i hooked my xbox up to the internet using a laptop. i told them it's hard to explain, so i made this quick video and told them to check my youtube account for instructions. i never expected to get over 110,000 views, especially for such a poor video. if it wasn't so outdated by now, i would make a much better video, but there is no need. check out my new vid. i taught my dog to swim.......i'm serious. i made another video and it is an actual video and not hypercam. rofl

okay.i need help!!i can either be on xbox live,or be on the net...but,cant do either@the same time bc i only have 1 ethernet port!i had a hub&it worked for both devices,but,only one@a time.if the xbox was plugged in,it would work.same for the comp.but if they both were plugged in only one of them would work!wtf can i do to do both@the same time?i play games,my girl surfs the net,when im online she cant till im done.some plzzzzzz tell me what to do quick!thanxxxxxx alooooot if u will help!:)

i think the best solution for your problem would be to get a Ethernet splitter adapter. it will allow you to have 2 or 3 plugs in at the same time. hope this helps.

i had a ps3 and didn't like it as much as my xbox. i have since gotten one of the newer xboxs that has the internal wireless adapter and it hasn't had a single problem. the reason so many of the old style xboxs failed was because of a poor design for cooling the vital components. the new xboxs have a much better cooling system and there are very few that have issues.

Is there a way to get rid of the lag i get while doing this? i get a bit of lag like every 45 seconds or so, and its getting very annoying, because i just got internet at my new house and the way i was connecting isn't working

that is one thing that annoys me that the ps3 has internet but the 360 cant seem to just do that?! oh well i use both some would say im an ambidextrous gamer :P

I would much rather of paid 100$ then at all times have too have a laptop to play xbox 360 anyways not all people have a laptop so I would much rather in both cases just buy one. People who use this are cheap lol.
