WCIX WFOR WTVJ Miami Channel Switch 1995

This is from the moment in 1995 when WCIX switched from transmitting on channel 6 to transmitting on channel 4 (and simultaneously changed its call letters to WFOR). At the same moment WTVJ swiched from transmitting on channel 4 to channel 6. This clip was recorded on channel 6 in the moments before and after the switch. You see the WCIX slate, then a moment of the new WFOR's ID, then WTVJ takes over the signal.

At the same time this was going on, WTVJ's new sister station WCAU was airing a one hour newscast about the Philly switch. Westinghouse/CBS and NBC were doing switches in 2 cities simultaneously. And at the same time, CBS took over KCNC in Denver from NBC. 9/10/95 was network musical chairs day, it seems.
