Moncton Armed Robbery
Codiac Regional RCMP is seeking the public's assistance as it investigates an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, August 22, 2010. Investigators have posted surveillance video of the incident on the RCMP NB Newsroom webpage.
On August 22, 2010 at approximately 2:35am an individual carrying an axe entered the Circle K convenience store at the Irving located at 1515 Mountain Road. The video shows the person breaking the glass in the front door of the store, heading directly to the cash register, smashing it with the axe and then leaving with the cash drawer. The individual was in and out of the store in 65 seconds. The video posted on YouTube shows the entire sequence of events from several camera positions. After fleeing the store the suspect was then seen running away. The employee working during the incident was not injured.
Codiac Regional RCMP is asking that anyone who may have been in the area of the service station at the corner of Mountain Road and Trinity Drive around 2:30am on Sunday August 22 or has information about this investigation is asked to contact police at 857-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Le Service régional de Codiac de la GRC sollicite l'aide du public dans le cadre d'une enquête sur un vol à main armée survenu le dimanche 22 août 2010. Une vidéo de caméra de surveillance a été ajoutée au site Web de la Salle des nouvelles de la Division J de la GRC.
Le 22 août 2010, vers 2 h 35, un homme avec une hache est entré dans le dépanneur Circle K de la station Irving située au 1515, chemin Mountain. Dans la vidéo, on voit l'homme fracasser la vitre de la porte principale du commerce, se diriger vers la caisse enregistreuse et la casser avec la hache, avant de prendre la fuite avec le tiroir-caisse. L'homme est entré et sorti du commerce en 65 secondes. La vidéo affichée sur YouTube montre l'incident à partir de plusieurs angles de caméra. Le suspect a pris la fuite à pied, et l'employé présent n'a pas été blessé.
Quiconque se trouvait à l'angle du chemin Mountain et de la promenade Trinity le dimanche 22 août 2010, vers 2 h 30, ou ayant des renseignements concernant cet incident est prié de communiquer avec la police au 506-857-2400 ou avec Échec au crime au 1-800-222-8477.

I think it would have been ironic if he took cash two instead and got away with nothing.

I'm so glad that no one got hurt and that my Bug wasn't working, when that happened. I hope they catch that dumb ass idiot and lock him up for a very long time.
