Controversy hits Cannes on Thursday with the premiere of the latest flick from Chinese director Lou Ye. His movie on love and homosexuality was shot on the sly in eastern China despite a state work ban. Lou, who is halfway through a five-year ban on film-making imposed by China censors in 2006, will showcase his latest movie "Spring Fever", his third try for the festival's coveted Palme d'Or award. Excerpts of the film.
Definitely not a movie for everyone. It's psychologically thrashing.

An awful movie that drags (no pun intended) on and on and after like an hour or so, you start to wonder the purpose of the stretched too thin story line. In a state of suppression seems to be what's both in front, and behind the lenses altogether.
