I know a great competitor doesn't make excuses, but having a flu and competing at the same time is not exactly a good idea. I was already gassing out and my muscles felt 40% weaker. I was just trying to survive the last few minutes, making sure I don't embarrass myself on the mat. When she put on the triangle, I knew I could still have gotten out but I just had to tap -- I couldn't breathe anymore, not because she had the choke on but because my nose is too stuffed already! But it was great going against her. She's a premiere capoerista (holds a high "cord" or "belt" in capoeira) and I can only speak highly of her :-)
