Medium Duty Slider Bed High Speed Sortation Conveyor.

This conveyor features a high speed sortation system using "wheel diverters" that can sort packages to the left or right of the conveyor at high speeds up to 300 FPM (feet per minute). There is virtually no limit to the length of this sorter. Units up to 500 feet with as many as 30 diverts have been successfully built and installed. This unit can be designed to sort either "left" or "right" per divert module.

Package weights can range from 3 pounds up to a maximum of 100 pounds. Package weight distribution (center of gravity) is more critical to a successful divert than the total weight of the conveyed product.

The diverter is modular in design and can be installed at desired intervals as close as 3 feet centers minimum, up to any desired spacing. It utilizes a 3" long driven urethane coated roller, that on demand, rises 1/4" to 3/8" and skews 30 degrees to divert the package. When in the down position, these rollers act as a bridge to stabilize small packages. Required air pressure is 40 PSI minimum, to 60 PSI maximum.

The HSS also features machine crowned pulleys, and all rollers have precision bearings. This unit provides a "gentle sort" based on the dynamics of the design. It also features an optional spur unit for each diverter zone for packages to merge onto when diverted.

Conveyor frames, braces, and attachment brackets are powder coat painted with a "baked on" finish for maximum durability.
