MY relative built this Hotel as well as the Ellis Island building, the La, Firehouse by Alvaro street, and a few more places. 100 years ago this hotel was a nice place but as time goes by people and places fall apart. So what right ! Right.

Way better when it was the Riverview...Trust me.And they kept some of the old staff, Like the elevator guy,The guy mopping,Mr Ermes and a couple more.The new staff,They are to young,Looks like a dam daycare...

I stayed at the Jane Hotel several times from 1996-'04. That's when it was still called "Hotel Riverview." It was $49 a night for singles and $65 a night for doubles. Crackheads, drug dealers, prostituting transvestites and nutcases---those were the types of ppl you'd find staying there. You had to share the dirty ass bathrooms with these people, too. And you know what? I enjoyed every single one of my stays there :)

I remember back in the 80's they used to have a lot of punk rock shows at that hotel either in the basement or in a ball room of some sort. Saw some good bands like DOA and Bad Brains.
