I'm so glad you point that out. So many of my "serious" music fans still feel it's important to look down their nose at pop music. I hate that attitude. The talent it takes to come up with a genuinely memorable and catchy tune, a great hook, harmonies and pacing of a song is no different than writing 'serious' music. I never understood the snobbery.
