Losing Johnny Maestro was the Worst That Could Happen... RIP Johnny...
-
I have been spending a few hours on youtube tonight listening to oldies. These songs came out as I was becoming a teen ager. Wow! What memories. I can remember sitting in the court yard with all my friends with my battery operated record player playing 45's all day. So far I have listened to Brooklyn Bridge, Jay and the Americans, The Young Rascals, Mamas & The Papas, Beach Boys and Spanky & Our Gang. Frankie Valle and the 4 Seasons is next. Thanks for the memories!

@originalchowdahead The court yard? Not on Chambord, was it? lol I was about 11. We were in the front, just getting into my Dad's car and this came on the radio. My sister and her friend squealed and then starting singing along at the top of their lungs. LOL
Funny thing is - I always thought this was sung by a Black group! I guess the lead singer and harmonizing back-up just fit together so well. I could even see them doing Temptations style dancing too! LOL!

Beautiful version of this song written by the great Jimmy Webb.
