Does anyone know if there are any Richter/Berry performances of Passion / St. Matthew on CD? I can only find one or the other, but not both :(

such a slow slow execution of this great aria! (3:17 vs. less than 3 min for almost all other version i know of) otherwise: great voice.

What an incredible thing to witness is this song. For any culture, any religion, to me, it signifies the cry for a returning to the peace every religious movement intended from the beginning.

This is magnificent, the best version I have heard. Walter Berry has a very booming voice and is the definitive voice I hear in my head when I think of this song.

@erendiraz Now listen to Otto Klemperer's recording. It'll blow your mind.
