This is the opening video from the visual novel Umineko no naku koro ni episode 1 Legend of the golden witch. I downloaded the game a few days ago and I think it's awesome. I do not claim ownership over Umineko no naku koro ni or this video, they both belong to there copyright owner Ryukishi 7 or seventh expansion. @DominoBernkastel First you have to either buy or download the games. Then if you need it you can get the translation patches. Witch-hunt is the name of a good site to start at.

@DominoBernkastel Yea witch hunt has patches but there in downloads that say episodes 1-5 or 6-7. So what do we do get individual episodes and put the same patch in each or is path for 1-5 5 individual patches ? Sorry Im not sure.

@jarostone Umineko has a few Higurashi references. Such as Bernkastel and Lamdadelta. Not to mention it was made by the same author.

Also, Umineko seems better to me.

@ANIMELORD1989 Download Episode 4 and Episode 8 then download the Witch Hunt patch and extract the folder into Episode 4 or Episode 8's folder depending on which one you got and there you go

Like most anime they had a first season limit of 26 episodes

So they had to make the decision to shorten the first arc for

a) To give more episodes on latter more important arcs

b) Introduce the themes of the show at a reasonable pace to new viewers (they couldnt spend two episodes on Geogre and Shannons relationship, then throw in witches, rituals and time resetting at the 10 episode mark
