Like Bucky said, you can put any css selector in querySelector. Some tests seem to suggest that if you want to address an item based on its ID, it's speed-wise better to opt for getElementById. querySelector seems more apt for selectors like "#tuna > li". Also, an ID should really only be used for one object; classes for shared attributes.

Please stop teaching this awful way of event handling to the kids. What happened to addEventListener and event delagation. I understand this is a basic tutorial but still,let's just stay out of trouble.
Otherwise nice tutorials although too basic for me...

you could also do the for loop like this:
for(var i in list) { list[i].onclick=talk; }
