  • i dont think thats 225... theres only one plate on each side and the plate is 45 lbs probably... if its 100 lb plate then it would be 245

  • how old is this kid? What does he bench? his technique looks good and he gets good leg drive, but do you know if they would say shit about his butt coming off at all at a combine just wondering cause someone said that to me...

  • senior in high school, 18. his max is 335. if he were going to the nfl combine they would say something. at high school combines they rarely test the bench and usually dont care whether you arch your back or pop your ass off the bench. they dont run them like powerlifting competitions.. they are money making scams.

  • @athelitetraining they shouldn't care about arching your back, you're supposed to when you bench. But the butt is definitely supposed to stay on the bench; why teach bad form?

  • his form is all wrong tho, hes using his back and squrming around, theres no point in doing that much weight if ur just gunna hurt yourself

  • OK the plates are 25lbs each, and that kid is probably 145 or 150 lbs at the most. His technique is horrible like beginners using momentum and bouncing off the chest. You should use your upped body only and do it with constant speed. Thanks

  • yea its not about age but ur size n muscle size/strength.... i'm 24 6' 180/181lbs benching 260 n my friend who is 19 is 6'/6' 1" is 220 bencing 315+

  • wow bouncing and ass way off the bench...he prob can only do it 10 times with good technique

  • If you know your video is going to be critiqued why would you use sloppy form? Use clean form, you will actually be stronger and you will lift a lot longer with good shoulders. I'm really not saying this to have a better than you additude, I'm saying it because I was younger once too and my shoulders ache now. You're a strong kid (Not show off on Youtube strong) . . . but strong.
