Schiavo was permanently brain-damanged. Severely. There was nothing left of the person at all. Her body was a wasting-away shell. The autopsey proved what her doctors had been saying all the time: A large percentage of her brain was liquified.

Liquified.

Anyone who says otherwise has clearly not been living on the same planet as the reality-based community. She was dead. Her body just didn't know it yet. The only humane option was to let her go. I know. I had to do the same thing.

all these people who are saying terri was murdered don't know what they are saying....the term "alive" doesn't mean that a heart is beating, or the eyes are blinking...being "alive" is laughing, talking, eating, and doing daily activities

The husband just didn't want to continue his life knowing that terri was just sitting in that miserable bed without being given proper funeral rights

She did not have any machines "constantly working all her systems". She was given a feeding tube at night because she had lost the swallowing reflex and her husband wouldn't allow her to have any therapy for it. During the day she wasn't hooked up to anything and would sit up in a chair.
