  • There IS a video to this version. I saw it many years ago on a James Whale show.

  • Ok, but there is no video here on youtube.

  • omg where can I get the album version of this song, I only have the bridged version

  • what does it mean - bridged version?

click more in description, I uploaded it.

  • you know how songs have album versions and singles versions (which is shorter)?

  • Maybe... This is neither from single nor from album. It was sent to me.

  • I like it better then the Dion version, but not as much as the Meat Loaf version. Partly because Meat Loaf sings better then both of them, and partly because I feel this song really should be a duet.

  • It's okay that you didn't include the music video. I can't get enough of this song, because it's one of my favorites from the '80s, and it's the best version of this song! I like how the song sounds sad towards the end, and makes me want to cry.

  • It's a very well written song. But I don't think it has the power in the singing that meatloaf's version and no where near the emotion and power that celine's version does.

  • i like celines and meat loafs versions better. their vocals are stronger

  • And the best

  • Just great!

I prefer Celine's version but that is very good as well!

  • Speaking of that, I'd suggest you pick up the entire CD as long as we're on the topic. It also has the original versions of "Good Girls Go to Heaven" (much different) and "It Just Won't Quit" (incl. Todd Rundgren counterpoint backing vocals) featured on "Bat Out of Hell II" and "The Future Ain't What It Used to Be" featured on "Bat Out of Hell III." Incidentally, unlike this song, ironically, "It Just Won't Quit" WAS written for Meat Loaf and "Bat II," but Steinman decided 2 test it on PB 1st.

  • Most of the same instrumental tracks were used on the Celine version, and as one guy already said, the vocals stand out more on the Celine version (her voice is also much more shrill), and Celine's is a better, more professional overall sound mix, but you can certainly appreciate certain individual tracks like the backing vocals more on this "Pandora's Box: Original Sin" cut.

  • This ALWAYS will be the best version - Elaine rocks, and this is the only version that has the awesomely orgasmic Eddie Martinez guitar solo AND the only version to cite "sacred pleasure" vs. just "endless pleasure," a powerful variation from verse to verse. Also, this song was NOT written for Meat Loaf, as Jim Steinman has stated again and again and again. It upset Meat Loaf so much that at one time he reportedly tried to convince a courtroom judge to grant him the rights to sing it...

  • powerful lyrics.
