i am from the USA. last week i went to an empty field to practice casting.
minutes later a cop showed up and asked what i was doing.
told him "practicing casting."
he shook his head, smiled and left.
evidently, the wench living across the field called the police to report "a mentally disturbed person is fishing on dry land with a long rod!"
true story.
i wish people would mind their own business sometimes.

I use this cast a lot, from my back gatden i can hit the fish and chip shop at the end of my road

@nipzilla It's a true story but you are a liar, it's not YOUR true story. You know how I know? Coz this story is an old classic fishing story now and I personally know the man who this thing happened to. Many people in LI fishing community know the man. So go tell your lies someone else...

@fox22250 Thanks man.Im still getting used to the overhead thrump and trying to learn the african cast.Theres much more power in the african cast when I use it with an 8ft rod and 4 ounce sinker.Keep up the great work!

The Easy Cast begins with the sinker laid on the beach under the rod. With the South African cast, the sinker is on the beach but extended away from the rod tip. The South African cast also tends to use more body rotation. This is a good question that deserves a more detailed answer. I'll try to put some information together and post it on my website.
