  • Genetic results tells that western coast areas in Finland have more and even purer viking haplogen among the habitants than swedish, norwaygans or people from Denmark.

    This means 2 possible things:

    1. Vikings are originally from Finland

    2. Vikings had permanent settlements there and with time, they have imigrated to the native population.

  • Great work!

  • @AdamForExample

    whatever

  • @AdamForExample The sagas mention nothing but couple failed viking voyages

in Finland. And don´t start that pathetic Swedish self-glorifying faggotry with your so called "superior culture" because it wasn´t yours to begin with. The scandinavians were cave people who leeched off civilization from Roman, Byzantine and Frankish empires. "Large parts of Finland talk swedish" LOL barely 5% of Finns are Swedish-speakers. Go clear your head junior.

  • @torhjelm Slaughtered? By finns? Please.. They were just nomadic tribes like the Sames. Sweden brought civilization.

  • @torhjelm Well we owned finland for hundreds of years longer than they have been independent and large parts of finland talk Swedish.. Hows that for proof?

  • @AdamForExample Bullshit. There is not a single proof of vikings ever claiming Finland under taxation. There are only a few saga mentions of viking raids in Finland, and in all occasions the vikings were slaughtered or driven away. The vikings had no settlements here, apart from Åland and some graves at the south coast.

  • @antza2 Colonized as claiming the land so they could collect taxes. They didnt move there.

  • @AdamForExample But you said they colonized, wich means they lived there, and therefore Finland did have vikings. I never said that the vikings in Finland were natives.

  • @antza2 You can't say Iraq had vikings only because they went there. Same thing with finland.
