wow... we should be blaming the MURDERER and not the victim... for a 43 year old you are such an ignorant, mister... i take it that youre the kind of person that would choose to have a killer, rather than a gay, living next door!

I think the religous community should have reserved there comments for a situation that was truly a hate crime. This wasn't a random homosexual killing, this young man unfortunately chose to advertise falsely. He hieghtened the risk of a violent confrontaton happening by being deceptive. they should charge him with manslaughter. All other argument are red herrings, the facts of the case do not warrant a bias crime charge.

I think is half true what you're saying, but still that doesn't give the reason for the murderer to do what he did. It's like you go on the street you see a trans gender and you go and kill the person, decapitate him and cut him in pieces and then burn him just for dressing like a woman or for just being gay. It's a shame to know that PR is still full of homophobes.

@ogletree21
I see what you mean but you better think further:
How about killing every straight man, that hits on a lesbian girl?
And of course with same brutality. That would be the same- well?
Or what if a straight man hits on a girl- and she isnt interested?
Instead of saying no thank you she perhaps pull out a browning a blow his head off?
And do you know how many straight girls hit on gay men???
If any gay man kills such a girl, the worlds female population would be halved!

Jorge Steven López Mercado should have know better than to come at someone. It is wrong to hit on people that are straight. He should have never wore that dress and pretended to be a woman.

Rev. Rivera is right on with his institutional comment. He displays much transparency.
