@Leejungwoo48 mmm yeah I am think you are right if safin would never have his injury at 2001, he would have won more Grand slams, but federer then improved his game and game used to win safin easily

@cortadew Nah, when Safin had a good day, he was able to beat anybody. I don't know.. but I still feel that anyone that can make Pete Sampras look like a modest 1st round qualifier (the 2000 US open), or beat Federer when Federer was at the very top of his game (Aussie open 2005) tells you that they've probably got many weapons and they can extremely dangerous if they are playing well. So you can't say for sure. But it'd definitely be a fight if Safin was really playing his very best tennis.

safin was a great player...but i just dont think he committed to tennis enough, he couldve won at least 5 slams...im a really hardcore novak fan now lol---but i love nadal too
