Im a dream theater nut. But Portnoy hopping in with Avenged got me listening to a new band. Both bands are equally awesome. No need to hate in either direction....

why do people hate A7X. They are talented and make good music if you dont like it thats fine, just dont talk shit about them, when half the people cant even play their music or even play an instrument.

I for one think that things could have worked out if Portnoy became the drummer of BOTH Dream Theater and Avenged Sevenfold. Things would have gone like this. Mike takes a 5 year break and works with A7X. Then this cycle happens.
1)Mike stays with DT, tours with them for 3 years while A7X takes a break
2) Mike stays with A7X, tours with them for 2 years while, DT takes a break
3) Mike, DT, and A7X takes a break.
Then thecycle goes on.

How about you DT fans pull your heads out of your asses. Get over the fact that he left. DT has been around for a very long time and sometimes its good for musicians to move on and take a different road.
It doesn't matter if you don't like A7X or whether you think their music is shit. Mike clearly doesn't think so, hence why he is in the band. You want DT go listen to the records. If you just want to winge...SHUT THE FUCK UP!
