My concern is does he know exactly what he was asking for, or why? If a child came up to an adult and said can I please have a gun to shoot myself in the foot is that ok? Of course not. Just like we dont know if the child asked we also dont know if he really understands what he is asking for or why, @ his age he has barely lived his life.

You do raise some valid points only thing I can say is you have to attibute it to the same mentality back in the 1800's and the Salem Witch Trials all it is, is a bunch of close minded people trying to rationalize their fears. Being gay myself I do believe in god and what not but because of a similar experience I cannot to this day and its been almost 10 yrs ago it happened set foot into a church or place of worship.
