Uh oh, I've had parrots my whole life. I know that dance!

years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand

Our Pally is a "Homo-Eclectus" too. We generally discourage his amorous advances so he doesn't get so worked up. The real problem is they have no idea they are birds. We have a beautiful female that would love it if he would just feed her, and he'll have none of it.

heheheh ugly horny parrot hehehe cute
he does love you that is his way of showing it! It is a big compliment he loves you so he wants babies that are part of you; kind of goes beyond sex into love, doesn't it? I wonder if when you get a girlfriend he will bond that well with her... I hope so, anyway he is lovely and you both are sweet, good luck!

oh we know he loves us! he is now doing his thing on me as well...
I have recently bought him a girlfriend but it taking a while for him to bond with her. She wants to get to know him but he wouldn't go near her for nearly a month.
But he is now kissing her and so forth so hopefully they will mate when they are ready. Thanks for well wishes!

ok as he is 2 he's still a baby, he won't be fertile or produce anything lol until he's about 4. Female ekkies become ready usually earlier than the males, only thing I will say is they are like a pitbull with wings lol. You do not want to come across a female ekkie protecting a nest. can you contact the person you bought him from to find out which species of ekkie he is. The problem with the males is it's very difficult to tell whereas females are better to distinguish.

thanks for that... we are going to try to get in touch with the breeder to see what sub species he is. He just had his first visit to the vet today and he wasnt impressed lol.. Thanks for the info too.. We have a little female ring neck too now and all he does is chase her around so its a relief to know he cant breed yet...

problem is some eclectus can breed from early at around 3 but it depends on the bird really. As long as he's not producing anything he'll be fine lol. They don't have a breeding season as such, eclectus breed constant and the females will lay anywhere. He's a lovely boy, from the pic i'd say maybe a red-sided from the size of him as soloman island are much smaller and vos and grand the larger I think but to be honest it's so hard to tell. Good luck

ill take some more pics and see what you think as we have no idea what sub species he is.. i know he isnt a vos as they have more yellow on their tails.. I have heard electus's are very "sexual" birds and the males in the wild have several girlfriends. It doesnt surprize me lol... We are currently looking for a female for him so he can give the other birds a break, as he is quite intense....
Thank you again for your info too..
Thanks so much for your info though....
