you know what hurts...seein all the comments sayin "that state aint southern". we all live in the united states of america. dont matter where you come from rather it be virgina, florida, north carolina or fucking new york. you can be southern anywhere and be damn proud of it. were all supposed to be a big lovin country family. god bless america and all the cowboys, cowgirls, farmers, rednecks, hillbillys, and country lovers. You know what, I really hate how people are always saying, "Oh you cant be southern if you aint born southern." Well ya know what, Im a born and raised indiana girl, But Im a COUNTRY GIRL. Soon as i hit 18 im moving to georgia. It dont matter if you was born in Mississippi, Louisiana, Washington, California, or Jersey. Im as much a country girl as anyone that was raised in the carolinas. Dont matter where you're raised, it just matters whats in ya.

I live in Wisconsin and was born and raised in Minnesota. But here's the thing... I love this song & video, because it reminds me of HOME, regardless. I'm as much a country boy as anybody from the south... never lived in a big huge city. Down home is down home no matter where you are. there's hearty, tough, hospitable folks around here too, trust me. I've been in the south and there's good people down there also. country boys can survive!!

@countrygirldj it doesnt matter bc techinally only that little part where they grew up is southern nd not around them are. just like Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma.. everywhere u go its southern, every part, every person and everyone has an accent etc and not just one little section or part is..now thats the difference.i kno what being southern is and where it is nd who is..take it or leave it.
