Chapter 50 Part 2

Ashley's POV:
I left Justin to cool down and change, and decided to get a water from a vending machine before heading to the bus. When I finally found a soda machine, I was surprised at who I saw standing there.
"Hey Vinny," I said, and he turned around.
"Hey Ash!" He hugged me before leaning over to grab his bottle of Sprite from the machine. "Do you want me to buy you a drink..?" He dug through his pocket then held up a dollar.
"No, I have money, but thank you," I said, slipping my own dollar bill into the slot before he could pay for me. I pressed the button for water, and Vinny reached down to get it when it dispensed.
"Thanks, Vin." I said as he handed it to me. I twisted the cap off and took a sip.
"You guys did great tonight," I said, and he smiled.
"Thanks," he said, and then his face turned serious. "So, Ashley, I'm glad I ran into you. There's actually something I want to talk to you about.." I nodded, and he continued.
"Ashley...I like you. A lot. And I have ever since we first met. You're beautiful, you're funny, you're nice. I just feel so happy when I'm talking to you. And I just thought you needed to know this." I sighed. I had seen this coming.
"Look, Vinny," I said. "You're an amazing dancer, and an amazing person. And you're really cute. But...I don't like you like that. You're two years younger than me. Plus...I kind of have a boyfriend." Vinny's face dropped, and he looked like he could cry.
"I'm really sorry, Vin. I like you a lot, but just as a friend." This was followed by an awkward silence, and neither of us said a word. I was about to break the silence and say I had to go, when I heard a girl's voice.
"Vinny?!" Vinny and I both looked up to see an unfamiliar girl standing there smiling. I thought maybe Vinny knew her, but the look on his face told me she was probably a fan.
"Oh my gosh, can I have your autograph? And can I take a picture with you? I'm a huge fan," the girl said before Vinny could respond. He chuckled.
"Of course," he said. The girl handed me her camera and I took a picture of the two of them. She then handed Vinny a piece of paper, and a blue Sharpie.
"Who should I sign it to?" Vinny asked.
"Oh, my name is Kailey," she said. He wrote a quick message on the piece of paper and then signed his name.
"Here ya go," he said, handing her the piece of paper with a smile. The girl grinned and hugged him.
"Thank you so much Vinny! By the way, you guys did great tonight," Kailey said.
Vinny thanked her, and she asked him if he would follow her on Twitter.
"Of course!" he said, smiling. "But can you just write it down and I'll follow you later? I don't have my phone on me right now." Kailey agreed and tore off a scrap of paper from the page that Vinny autographed. She scribbled something down, folded up the paper, then handed it to him.
"Well I gotta go now. It was nice meeting you Vinny!" she said, and she gave him a huge hug.
"You too!" he said. "Stay grand!" She smiled as she walked away.
When she was gone, Vinny unfolded the little piece of paper. He looked surprised when he opened it. I took it from his hands and looked at it. Written in bold blue Sharpie was not only Kailey's Twitter username, but a phone number and a heart. I laughed.
"Looks like you got some digits, Vin," I said, smiling. He still didn't smile.
"I don't want them," he said.
"Why not?" I asked. "She's about your age, and she's cute."
"Plus. She likes you," I added. He sighed, and I think he finally realized that he needed to move on from me and this was the perfect opportunity.
"Besides, what can it hurt to just give it a try?" I said.
"Okay, okay, I'll think about it."
"Alright good," I said. "I gotta go, Vinny. I'll text you later, okay?" He nodded and hugged me, and we left to walk our separate ways.

i love driving around at night haha. like with my friends and/or sister. we do the dumbest things. and i go on google + hangouts with my friends!!
