  • @00011theman You can get the extra .5 volts BY USING THE LITHIUM BATTERIES. And by turning the potentiometer you are changing the current reaching the diode, not the voltage.

  • @randomlugia yea maybe but it takes some equipment to make just .5 volts thats why people do pot mods on green lasers to make it brighter but people over do it and burn the diode

  • @00011theman So you're admitting .5 volts will make it brighter? Every laser does have a duty cycle, and of course disobeying that can result in a burnt up diode. That's why we make the duty cycles, to avoid broken lasers. And the more powerful the laser is (assuming heatsink is the same size), the shorter amount of time you'll have to run the laser for.

  • @randomlugia true .5 volts might make it brighter but if you run it too long it could get too hot and yea I know 24 volts is a little overkill but If I would have had my ignition coil when I did it I would have put about 25,000 volts that would be OVERKILL

  • @00011theman 24 volts seems a bit overkill. Maybe an extra .5 volts and you would have seen a difference. That's the only difference here.

  • @randomlugia I speak from experience I put 24 volts into a old laser and it burnt the laser diode so it wasn't made for that

  • @00011theman I don't know what you mean "bigger than it's made for". E2's have a higher voltage, which feeds the laser diode more electrical power, which then results in more light output. So yeah, they do; I've seen it.

  • @randomlugia bigger battery's then its made for don't make it brighter
