excuses if you understood boxing you would know it was at least 20 pounds yes 135 to 147 doesnt make 20 but if you see marquez manny weight in at 130 fight night they were about 145 thats 15 pounds more for a 130 why because they had time in 130 so if they gain 15 pounds at 147 a fighter easily willgain 20 pounds because thats his natural weight been there for a while thats the reason floyd did not want to weight him selt fight night and excuses why didnt floyd make the weight thats a excuse

Enough excuses.........from 135lbs to 147 isn't 20lbs. You do the math........ If you want to make excuses for marquez and hate on floyd's accomplishments then fine. The sport will continue to be what it is and the truth will remain.......excuses doesn't get you work, money, or pussy.....Peace......

you say marquez had a chance to be great but fell short so now a fighter must beat a fighter that is 20 pounds heavier to be great if thet is the case I guess floyd will have to move up two weight clases to be great is that what you saying who beat marquez in his weight class and left no doubt in his 20 years boxingthats not great in his last two fights he knocked out fighters that had not been knocked out he did get hit clean shoots but thats because hes 36skill deminish

Floyd controlled the fight against DLH. Prime or no Prime who knows. What you say is all excuses and none of which are facts. DLH wasn't punching because he was frozen by Mayweather's speed and movement. It goes back to my point that they didn't have the skill to deal with Mayweather. Mayweather has been the smaller man in most of his fights just like Pernell. There is just no excuse. Marquez had a chance to be great and he fell short.

marquez didnt throw a lot of punches not because he couldnt but because he was against heavier boxer that was waiting counter punching so he knew what to do but had to be cautious against biger oponent if they were fighting at 135 marquez weight marquez would land more being less cautious but at that weight he had to be careful and same effect on delahoya mayweather did not do nothing against a past his prime delohoya

Yeah it might be easier, but Hopkins moved up 15lbs in one fight to beat Tarver.
And to answer your question Floyd won't move up two wieght classes because he doesn't have to. Look here, Marquez didn't make any excuses why should anybody else. Marquez didn't even throw any punches because he didn't know what to do. Floyd is a great fighter man. Face it.......He had the same effect on DLH, Baldomir, Gatti....... I can go on and on.

weight doesnt matter it does afighter can move up but slowly over time marquez went upfrom 126 130 135 overtime just like mayweather moved up overtime but not overnite if its just skill why doesnt floyd move up 2 weight class overnight if it dont matter

Ok another example my friend. Holyfield was a cruiserweight. He won the first fight against Bowe. Why??? you tell me. Weight doesn't matter plus I bet you that Marquez next fight will be at 140lbs. You put to much enphasis on wieght. If you have ever been in a fight before you would know that weight doesn't matter as much when you have skills. For your information all fighter look to be in the position to choose opponents. There are alot of lightwieghts that Manny never fought. No Excuses...
