Quick review of the differences between a regular Stratocaster and an HSS. Didn't cover a whole lot because there aren't a whole lot of differences.

  • would have been nice to have of review of you playing it, so we can hear how she sounds and plays

  • @JacobxMarley I would have, but tone depends so much on your amp and there are enough other videos with people playing that I didn't feel required to actually play in the video. That and my mic is pretty bad, wouldn't be accurate anyways.

I mostly play Gibson's. This is the one Fender I own and it is a gem. They did not try to do too much with this ax. It is in every respect wiring tape, wire routing and tuning pegs, the barbaric unevenly inserted slotted screws holding the tremolo springs. Besides the serial number it's identical to a original 1962. The sound is so warm ...

  • my fav axe i have

  • talk too much play or shut up

  • One chord is greater than 1000 words

  • oh wow. Glad I found this. Thanks so much for telling me that the humbucker on this strat creates a more treble-y sound. Good to know. I was thinking it was gonna be a more meaty, "fatter" sound with the bucker. Interesting. I guess that helps me make my decision cause I'm more of a bass-y lovin' chick and I was trying to decide between the SSS and the HSS. Thanks :)

  • from one guitarist to another...you absolutely do NOT need active hums or anything to play the heavier metal. i was playing carcass on a MIM fat strat. it sounded fine. good tone, great quality. i'm actually considering selling my esp ltd to get a mexi fat strat so i can play a greater variety of music.

  • Thank you! It's really usufull review!

  • i only play humbucker with distortion too, sounds crappy clean, the neck pickup clean sounds awesome though. at least i thought so
