@dilibau well, now you let me with nothing to help you with.. if you know how to work around your drivers and all of them are updated then it really should work. i have integrated sound card too with a windows7 64-bit and camtasia recognize it the first time i tried this. i guess the problems lyes on the program, try reisntalling or check your version, i have 7

@BomWatchOut the SB soundcard is integrated in my mo-bo (please check my previous comment to see the type), I've all the updates to the OS/drivers and I'm also an engineer, so I know how to get around this stuff... it's just that it won't record the sound from my PC, no matter what I do (I've spent a couple of days tinkering with it and I'm pretty sure now there's not much left to do). Might be that the OS is so recent, and the version of Camtasia I have is pretty down-rev-ed ...

@dilibau you didnt mention if you have a sound card installed, the problem is that you dont get that hidden device in the video?

@BomWatchOut hey, my SB is top of the line and it works absolutely perfect in any other application (games, etc.). I have the latest Creative drivers installed and the latest drivers for my motherboard (Gigabyte S1 Sniper). I really don't think that's the culprit..

@dilibau i guess it has to do with your motherboard audio driver or your sound drivers.. if you dont have it then you have to update or buy a new sound card
It says I can only record audio from a ".cam" file, HELP!!
