Bro. Alvie McKenzie sings a song he wrote entitled "Holy Power" at Annual Friends Singing 2008. This video was recorded by Bro. Jim McClure on March 07, 2008.
I am Free Holiness from Southeast Oklahoma and we believe in the three works of grace. Saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in an unknown tongue. Our church is free from any head church and we only answer to God. We don't call ourselves Pentecostal because we believe stricter than most Pentecostal Churches. But God is no respecter of persons and if you are doing all you know to do then he will be the judge on judgement day. Really did enjoy this song,
Thanks for posting this of Brother Alvie! He was such a special man. He had such a way of including and endearing those around him. I would love to see him again.
@Holinessboy no problem! yes it's freeholiness. net I'm not a part of any of their churches but some of my friends are! they believe extremely close to what my church teaches. God bless!
@Holinessboy Your grandma is not a part of the same Free Holiness church that these congregations are affiliated with. She is most likely with the Conservative Holiness Movement of Pentecostals... Free Holiness churches in the fellowship Stevenson Free Holiness is a part of do not call themselves Pentecostal. It is actually pretty different.
@stanbubbajones My grandma is Independent/ Free Holiness, they are trinitarian Pentecostals. For more information about their fellowship, message me and i will give you a website. Also, i would like to encourage you to seek the gift of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. It is a wonderful feeling. Pentecostals/ Independent Holiness, Church of God, Assembly of God, etc... originated from the older Methodists who at the time were Weslyan Holiness.
@stanbubbajones I am a Holiness-Pentecostal-Assembly of God preacher, we are trinitarian. We do not believe that you have to receive the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues to be saved; yet, we do believe that the Holy Ghost is for the children of God, and the evidence of being filled with the Holy Ghost is speaking in tongues. Scripture teaches that on the day of pentecost, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. This is still available today. Acts 2:4
@itsgoodtoseeme91 My grandmother is Free Holiness and she attends Wagarville Holiness Church in Wagarville, Alabama. I am Holiness/ Assembly of God, but my grandma and the Independent/Free Holiness fellowship that they belong to is a trinitarian pentecostal fellowship.
