In September a demolition crew chomped through the additions attached to an important piece of mid-century American architecture. The original beach house, the Pearlroth House of Westhampton Beach, New York, was left standing in close to its original condition. Efforts are underway to move and restore the house. It will then be opened as a living museum of modern architecture. See the house before and during the demolition. For more information visit www.pearlrothhouse.org.

Over the next few weeks we will post other clips about the Pearlroth House project, including a history of the house and interior shots. Stay tuned!
