Loshon Ha-ra: Gossip's Curse

This is my poem that ties into the Jewish principal of Loshon Ha-ra. Which includes that gossip or spreading lies can lead to a lot of trouble. I wrote this one day after so many people at my college spread terrible rumors about each other and people easily believe it.

11/14/11- This one is really odd. Decided to tie a Jewish principal into my poetry. Kind of dark.

One lie
leads to many lies
Before you know it, full deck
it is too much
she said this
he said that
walls torn down
fights erupt
one small lie

They put it in the mill
soon everyone comes
comes like animals
to feed upon false news
not even asking the source
or whoever the real truth
rumor?
It could lead to something worse
lie upon lie
the estranged believe it all

Someone says it wrong
little of the time someone pays the price
the wrong one
an awful one
could rip open diaster
maybe even ruin life
havock

Words must chosse wisely
they still can lash
damage
what a curse
the mouth can say so much
choose wisely
the mouth can go astray
