A Verbal Announcement of Office and warrant at 2027 hrs by persons outside a residence where the occupants could certainly not be immediately available to answer the door

The Officer tries the door

" " Discovers that the door is unlocked

** Opens the door

** Enters

All of this before anybody sees a warrant?

...and, of course, SHOOTS ALL DOGS before discovery of other occupants including a 7 year old child.

Does this mean that in the total absence of any property owners, or human occupants, both dogs could be murdered and evidence planted to justify the murders of the only witnesses in an alternate scenario where the family was out at a movie theater, enjoying themselves, unaware of the invasion of their premises??

No Knock warrants allow for instant entry, but do those warrants allow for THIS?

The Columbia, Missouri Police Department has already publicly acknowledged that they did not, and will, in the future, do sufficient surveillance of any premise targeted by any warrant, but at the same time have said that any warrant will be executed within 8 hours of issuance by a judge, which does NOT allow sufficient surveillance of any premises targeted by the warrant, which has got to be as circular as logic ever becomes.

Lack of surveillance is why they did not know of dogs, or children!

this is sickening i can not watch any more because i am crying police have no right to do that just because they thought it was a pitbull we can't get away with murder because we "thought" it was a terrorist can we?! if i could i would do the same to them as they did to the dogs they shoulden't just raid peoples houses kill their pets and then damand info . those officers have no hearts and they never will deserve the title law inforcer

I hope this is only the beginning of some major changes to the way ALL police officers are allowed to behave toward the public in this, OUR country. Lord knows that some major changes need to be effected, w/out us citizens having anymore of our rights trampled upon.

I cannot believe America has turned into this. We were taught freedom and justice. What this SWAT team did is niether, nor are many, if not most, of the laws that come from Washington. TY 4 doing what u can to help. Peace and Freedom to you and yours.
