Love at first sight appears to have more to do with precognition – a premonition of a romance to come. Case in point, I first spotted this girl “among a group of people” from about “200 yards away” and felt something was up regarding her and I (this rules out attraction theories). There was no sign of her noticing me. Later, due to super-unlikely events, we met and got together, and had mutual feelings for each other from the beginning.
@pauleddy89 Let me expound on what love is. The opposite of love, is NOT hate. But arrogance. Love is not a feeling whatsoever. You saw a girl at the gym today. Awesome, good for you. But you don't know anything about her except her eyes, and smile. That's part of her looks. You were attracted to her. You didn't love her. It's people that believe love as a feeling, that ruin relationships. Because once that feeling is gone, they feel they don't love them. It's just pure stupidity.
@thormaxtwo I would say this arguement is ridiculous because you can't prove this. For example, I seen a girl in my gym today and my heart melted. I knew straight away, I loved her. Wasn't her looks I didn't even think about her in a sexual way it was her smile her eyes and everything about her.
@thormaxtwo On the other hand love is another kind of horniness. In either case it's a chemical reaction in your brain. And I'm not so sure you actually can separate those two completely. Love tends to die without horniness and attraction. And if love was to be separate from attraction then it really wouldn't matter which sex the person you fall in love with are. But empirically that is clearly not the case.
Yes, I believe in love at first sight, but I think it happens more when you're younger.. I think most people as they grow older, they lose the felling or forget about passion. Love the questions btw..
