and give me thumbs up because you know it does :)

JPJ's grooves are in fine form, just as if he left the Zep - In Through The Out Door sessions and walked right across the hall to the other studio and recorded this album. JPJ is the force here.... but he couldn't have laid them crooked grooves down as well without Grohl and Homme.... lucky bastards and I'm sure they would agree. This is the best album I've heard in years. No clunkers on this one, you just put the CD in the deck and let it play all the way.......... Thanks Regular Johnny...

I think the only ones he sounds like a girl(as in fattena I'm guessing) in are Reptiles and Scumbag blues
-
i agree, but he dont have to sound like a girl on all the songs, then it makes all of them sound a little same

Yes voice does matter, I'm not saying these songs WOULDN'T work without their voices or anything, i'm saying that his voice goes with the music, to be honest do you think this song would work without Josh's voice?
So yeah, it doesn't matter if a voice fits into ONE genre, it matters if it fits into the music, like all their voices do!

does it matter? YEAH!!!! do u think Stevie Tyler couldve pulled off "Dream on" with out that voice?
Do you think "welcome to the Jungle" would be as good as it is without Axls voice?
so, yeah the voice does matter

Can you ever say anyone's the best?
There's probably, god forbid, better bassists than JPJ out there, but not even heard of, we don't know. These though, all of them, you cannot say they're not at the top of the list for famous instrumentalists. It's not about how fast they play etc. It's how they use their instruments that count, and all of these use it to a HUGE degree

Does it matter if he has a voice for a specific genre? It shouldn't...
It's Josh Homme, listen to Queens Of The Stone Age's albums and you'll realise he has the voice for more or less every genre.
It doesn't matter if the voice suits the genre, it suits the music, which matters...

A voice can't have a tumor, a voice is a noise, the person making the noise can have a tumor in his throat, but a voice is a noice and doesn't have any physical attributes required to have a tumor...
