Some of these postings are hysterical.. some are sad, and yet some are just downright MEAN! Everyone needs to remember, Christina led a VERY privileged life and was a spoiled BRAT! The book she wrote was based on SOME truths about Joan, but not ALL of it. The only REAL parts of the book and movie are the parts depicting Joan as a neat freak, which is very true. That's one of the reasons she was married and divorced so many times, not one of her husbands could ever relax in the house!

"Because I am not one of your fans!!!" Truer words were never spoken. Christina wanted money and revenge and she got both. Joan was probably a crappy, abusive mother. Christina was likely a spoiled little bitch. BTW just FYI: If you hang a beaded dress on a wire hanger it will tear off from the weight. that is why Joan didnt alllow them. God Christina was stupid.. I mean, she doesn't seem to know anything about the woman that she spent years defaming.

Plus the fact that the film "Mommie Dearest" has been slatted by almost everyone involved. Faye Dunaway will not speak of it and blames it for her career declining afterward. The wire hanger abuse never happend. This was something purely made up for the film, for dramatic effect. Sadly all this points are wasted as people will believe what they want, gossip, regardless of fact, makes better reading. I hope that someday, Joan Crawford will be remembered for her movies, style and real life story.

Its sad that such an icon of Hollywoods golden age and one of the best actresses Hollywood ever created, still has to be partly remembered by some (not me) for that trashy book and movie. A book based mostly on gossip by one person, who waited untill after Joans death to cash in. Plus the fact that her other children have said nothing ever happened, As Winston Churchill said "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."
